You can't fear your dreams

In a previous post (Bye Bye Puppet) I talk about my sister Shauna's desire to incorporate the arts somehow in her life. I'm very pleased to say that she's following one of her dreams and is a rising makeup artist. Sky is the limit with her talents. I'm so proud of her.

He's my bestie

I've learned to love me for me. My bright side, dark side and everything else in between. By finding my inner beauty, others noticed. Most importantly, he noticed. He saw the glow in my eyes, the honesty in my words, and he loves me for me. I never had this type of love. I'm happy that I didn't settle. I'm happy I didn't miss my chance with him. He's my destiny. My soulmate, best friend, my shawty. He may be taller than me, and have crazy muscles, but I still consider him my shawty. He laughs every time I say "what up shawty". It's a selfless love, a growing love, a love I've dreamt of. He goes by the name A1, but I call him babe.

Happy birthday babe, I love you. (Dec. 11)

Are you in love? What made you fall in love with your boo?

Before I'm a Star

I'm working on a short film "Hold Me Fast".
Devonnie Black is the screenwriter, and also playing the lead role.
I'm the supporting female role who's an encouraging friend, spicy bartender, and jokester. My character Olivia reminds me of myself, however she has more of an open mind. I'm in love with this role. I can't wait to film more scenes. Stay tuned for further updates regarding the film.

Are you working on any fun projects right now? If so please share!

Rolling with the Flow

I don't know where my life will lead me. One minute I'm friends with one person, the next minute I'm not. One minute I'm focused on chasing my goals, the next minute I lose focus because I'm missing the love of my life. I go through my ups and downs, and I've realized I have to take it one day at a time. Each day, a new day, a new challenge to face. Today I was moody and missing my boo. Then my friend Nicole C cheered me up. At the start of today I was tired and lonely, but by the end of the day I was comforted and hopeful.

My advice, whenever you may be feeling at this moment, it's not going to last forever. Friends come and go, you're going to miss your boyfriend/girlfriend, people will use you and abuse you, but before you know it, you'll be smiling again. Be thankful for the people that put a smile on your face when life gets tough.

When life seems too much, what helps you get through the day?

"I'm trying to stay as calm as possible and focus one day at a time, but when reality sets in, I feel everything: anxiety, excitement, nerves, pressure and joy."

BYE BYE PUPPET!

So today was the last day of my puppet show and it was so emotional for me. I've been working on this piece for so long and I've grown to love my scene partners, director, composer and everyone else involved in this project. This piece meant a lot to my director and therefore it meant a lot to me. People who came to see the piece loved it. It was my dad's first time seeing me perform and that made this experience even more special. Also, my best friend/sister/second mother, Shauna said she was inspired after seeing the puppet show and now she wants to go back to her childhood roots and incorporate "the arts" somehow in her life. I couldn't be more happy and proud to know that I had an impact on my sister's desire to bring "the arts" back into her life. This is why I do what I do. It's not
just for me, it's for everyone.

Were you ever invovled in a project that changed your life or anyone around you? Please share

I'm in love!!!

I can't stop watching Basketball Wives!! I mean the whole show is full of females calling each other "bitches" and isn't helpful for my spiritual growth. I don't feel closer to God or feel like a better person after I watch an episode. But the drama, the fights, the crazy personalities work for me. Also, the individual back story that is revealed about each person over the course of the show intrigues me.

Everyone has a story. At first I thought some of the females were mean because they were bored and found enjoyment in harassing others. Then, episode after episode their hard shell started to peel off as they revealed pain, hurt, and embarrassment that they experienced in their past. If the females on the show didn't share their past issues, I would have stopped watching the show a long time ago. I admire honesty. It takes a brave person to speak openly and truthfully to the world.

The ladies honesty is the reason why I'm so in love with the show. Well some of the ladies are honest and real and I watch the show because they keep it “100”.

What's one of your fav ratchet shows?

BTW, I don't cook, clean or have a career.

Raise your hand if you think you're wifey material. I'm sure every female will raise her hand and have a prepared list of why she's wifey material. More than half will be wrong.

Ever since I could remember I've always dreamt of being married with kids. I picture myself having a huge white house with a lot of land. Thinking about it now puts a smile on my face. However being a wife is hard work. A lot of my ways now would have to change. My space would constantly be shared with my husband and any ounce of selfishness could cause an argument. For example, I love to sleep and get very cranky when my sleep is interrupted. So I'm def not perfect! I do however inform my partner about my flaws and give him a warning. I don't think he wants to experience "Nicole's wrath".

The things that I believe makes a good wife are:

-A god fearing woman
-A loyal woman
-A woman who cooks for her man everyday.
-A woman who keeps the house clean.
-A woman who keeps herself looking nice
-A woman that can please her man in the bedroom
-A woman who's supportive of her husband.
-A woman who's vocal about her thoughts
-A honest woman
-A woman who can compromise
-A woman who has a career or is productive in someway
-A woman who has patience

These are just a few qualities that come to mind, however it also depends on who your partner is and what they like. If you're trying to be the best wife that you can be best believe your husband should be making sure your happiness is number one at all times.

In your opinion, what does a good wife have to possess?

"Let the wife make the husband glad to come home, and let him make her sorry to see him leave."

If you're tired of breast feeding, get rid of the baby!

Are you in love with a grown boy? Not sure?

Signs that you're dealing with a grown boy:
  • He always seems to mention a family crisis only when he's in the dog house? (hoping that you will feel sorry for him).
  • He makes you feel bad when you did nothing wrong.
  • He shows low confidence and doesn't know his self-worth.
  • He doesn't know what he wants in life or in a relationship.
Now if you read the signs above and it rings true for the person you're dealing with well then you are dealing with a grown boy who's main tactic is to play victim. RUN FOR THE HILLS!! This guy doesn't have any potential, and is holding you back. If you put up with this, it's your own fault. Nobody will feel sorry for you. Stop wasting your time, go find yourself a sexy MAN who can actually give you something in return, and give the grown boy back to his momma.

Have you ever dealt with a grown man boy? I have, and it was so draining!!

Boys will be boys, and so will a lot of middle-aged men.  ~Frank McKinney "Kin" Hubbard

"YOU A DIRTY LIE"!!!!

OK, so how do we feel about cheaters? HATE THEM! no seriously nobody likes a cheater. A relationship works when both members are honest, trust one another, communicate, and have the same vision in life.

just in case your unaware of what cheating means...it's when a person is having a private relationship that their partner doesn't know about. Yes, even talking on the phone late nights with somebody you're interested in behind your partner's back is cheating. I've always been terrified to be cheated on, however I discovered it's nothing to fear. Instead, it's a great conversation to have with a potential partner.

Discuss your views on cheating with your potential partner. Express your passion for a strong monogamous relationship. If they express the same passion, then that should help you trust them and feel better about starting a relationship with this person.

"what's done in the dark is brought to light" SO FEAR NOT! If your partner is messing around, you will find out about it. No need to dig for dirt, you'll only drive yourself crazy.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. - Bible
