BABY GOT THIGHS!

Hello fabulous people! OMG! Bikini season. I'm so not ready for the summer. I would like to lose 15-20 pounds. With proper exercising and a healthy diet, I know I can achieve my goal by the end of June. The two main body parts that I'm focused on toning are my thighs and stomach.

THIGHS

Problem: my thighs have cellulite in them and I want smooth thighs.

Solution: working out helps eliminate cellulite. Workouts like the treadmill, elliptical, and even riding the bike helps burn the fat and build muscle.

Goal: I want to wear shorts this summer (:

STOMACH

Problem: ummm, it's huge

Solution: I researched what helps burn belly fat and I came across "Dr.Oz's Flat Belly plan". He lists foods that help keep that belly FLAT, the website is listed below.

Goal: I want to wear a bikini this summer!

Also I invested in a "Slimmer belt" by TKO from Marshall's for only 5.99. I wear the belt as I workout and it acts as an extra fat burner around my stomach. It's a must have for workouts. (:

"Nothing lifts me out of a bad mood better than a hard workout on my treadmill. It never fails. Exercise is nothing short of a miracle." - Cher

CleanPlateCo Mother's Day Event

MOMS ROCK! My mom is this amazing tough, strong, giving and beautiful force who grabs your heart with her dance moves. My sister Shauna and I took her out to CleanPlateCo www.cleanplateco.com mother's day event held at La Maison d'Art www.lamaisondartny.com

The food and live music went hand in hand with La Maison d'Art unique french style. My favorite part about La Maison d'Art is the open backyard and original artwork displayed on the walls. I'm also very interested in trying their bed and breakfast one day.

The owner of CleanPlateCo Chimere Ward did an excellent job with the menu below.

ROGER MANIX-MEISNER TECHNIQUE

If you're interested in a meisner instructor you want to work with Roger Manix. Working with Roger is like nothing I have ever experienced. Roger is fully dedicated to his work and helped me find my inner voice by pushing me to face things that were uncomfortable. You can find all of his information on his website listed below. Don't be surprise if you see a familiar face on there.(and yes that's me in the pic above with the red wig lol) :)

POWER+LOVE=WOMEN

This past Saturday I attended Melimel's inspiring women empowerment event!! Oh yea! Women stand up! I was so impressed with Melimel's event. The women on the panel, the food and drinks, and the honesty that was expressed by women in the room was unbelievable. I'm so thankful that I was able to be apart of this beautiful event. Melimel plans on having a women empowerment annually. Be there at her next women empowerment event and view her website: www.mldigitalart.com Below is a pic of Melimel and I at her event.

My sister SheShe Flawless and I at Melimel's event. Melimel raffled off a gift bag put together by Sheshe. The bag contained some of Sheshe's favorite items to use on her clients. Exciting news!! Sheshe will be on the panel at next year's women empowerment event. So be there for the inside scoop on how Sheshe flawless got started.
Below is a pic of Sheshe and I with two of the panelist, Jayblessed and Chimere Ward. Jayblessed is a blogger who has her own website: www.jayblessed.com and Chimere runs a catering company called "Clean Plate Co." website: www.cleanplateco.com Chimere made delicious bites for the guests at the event and her food was finger licking good. I kept asking for more! (yes I'm greedy so what!) The best part is Chimere food is healthy.Thank goodness because I can't afford thicker thighs lol
Below is a pic of all three panelists Jayblessed, Robin Graham website: www.spotlightonrecovery.com , Chimere with the hostess Melimel. Each female below discussed the many challenges they faced through their life, and how they became successful in their own creative careers. The ladies below often used the words "passion" and "fear". You have to be passionate about the line of work you choose to do. Each female below is passionate about their craft, which naturally led them to success. However, they face fear just like you and I. Their courage, and the belief that they can achieve their goals is how they conquer their fear.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of god. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make and manifest the glory of god that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne Williamson

Have you ever been to a women empowerment function before? If so, did it help you in any way? please share :)

Count your blessings!!!!

I'm so thankful that both of my parents are alive, and healthy. They both have such a great impact on my life. Today I was blessed enough to have lunch with them at my job, Jean Georges restaurant.

If you have your parents in your life, please enjoy them to the fullest. They may be here today, but you never know what tomorrow can bring.

"I love who am, and where I come from."
-Nikki B

I'm the best rapper alive!!

I'm so not! OK, I feel like I'm the only person who can't stand rap music. It bugs me!!!!! I get so frustrated and angry at the lyrics that's about everything I'm against. Rap music that talk about hoes, money and guns is soooooooo annoying!!! I dislike it soooooo much! I don't understand how people could yell out some of these lyrics from the top of their lunges. Like do you know what you're saying?!!

I don't like to hang out at bars, or clubs because I know this ratchet music will be played. Also, as I'm growing stronger in my faith, I have no desire for clubs or bars.

Please, listen to what you're singing to and allowing your children to listen to. Please don't be naive and think the words in rap songs wont affect you. Whatever you hear, see, smell, eat, and touch will have it's affect on you. Therefore, the only thing I ask is for you to monitor what goes into your mind, body and soul.

Its been about a year or so since I've been monitoring what goes into my mind, body and soul and I feel so much lighter,so much better...... so at PEACE. Lighter in the sense that I'm not heavy with doubts about my beliefs. Instead, my beliefs are stronger now and reading the Bible has strengthen my faith.

"We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls."
-Mother Teresa
